- I had the same issue to deal with. You need to download a program called
- WINRPI from www.rockwell.com and install it on your system. This will
- allow your 14.4 modem to take advantage of compression. Rockwell also
- has an excellent FAQ section that you'll want to print out as it is
- INVALUABLE to reference. It took me a couple of weeks to get it right,
- but once you get everything to work you'll notice a substantial
- diffference in spped in your modem. Or...go buy a 28.8 with true v.34
- and you won't need RPI. Have fun and let me know how you do.
